Growing Marijuana

Good genetics are vital to grow marijuana successfully. Speak to people in the know, perhaps people who have grown good plants in the past. Look out for seeds which are potent and fast growing with a good smell.

Attempt to find an Indica/Sativa hybrid if possible, as this will have the best high and good characteristics for indoor growth as well. Indica plants give you a heavy, stony high that can become boring, and sativas' give you more of a buzzy energetic high. The problem with sativas is that they can be hard to grow indoors they need lots of light and tend to flower late.

The Indica plant is easily recognized by its broad leaves. The Sativa has very narrow leaves. A hybrid will have a mix of these qualities.

Look for seeds that are dark brown or light grey and are a descent size and very firm. white or lightly coloured seeds tend to be infertile or produce stunted results.

Start with about 10 seeds not all will germinate. Place the seeds onto moist cotton wool in a dish with a small amount of residual water. Put the seeds on a window sill that does not receive much sunlight. Over the next couple of days some of the seeds will germinate. probably about 3 - 4 seeds will begin to sprout. Once the seedlings have reached about 2 - 4 cm. Place the seedlings in a small pot plant with the roots lightly covered with quality soil. Now put the pot plant in a place that has slightly more sunlight and is protected from the elements. Keep the soil moist. Once the seedlings reach about 10cm then put each seedling into its own larger pot plant.

In summary it is vital that the plant gets the right level and type of nutrients, water and light. At the right stage in growth.
